The Tip Guard is a protective accessory that shields the airless spray tip from accidental knocks, wear and premature damage during coating work. Fitted at the front of the airless paint spray gun, it safeguards the delicate tip and its seating, helping maintain an accurate spray fan and consistent paint atomisation across every pass.
Supplied as a genuine replacement part, this guard extends the working life of your spray tip and supports a clean, professional finish on airless painting machines. Available from Vands Engineering Solutions, a manufacturer and supplier based in Delhi, India, the Tip Guard delivers dependable protection, easy fitment and rugged durability, making it an essential low-cost spare for painters seeking reliable, repeatable results.

Vands Engineering Solutions supplies heavy-duty tip guards for airless spray guns used in industrial painting and protective coating operations. A tip guard mounts directly over the spray tip on your airless gun — it protects the operator's hand from accidental injection injuries, shields the tip from physical damage, and keeps the spray fan pattern consistent during application.
We stock tip guards compatible with all major spray tip standards — Graco, Titan, Wagner, and generic metric/imperial thread patterns. Our range covers standard painting operations, high-pressure industrial spraying, and long-reach extension setups.
Available individually and in bulk quantities for contractors, industrial painting teams, and OEM machine assemblers. Fast dispatch from Delhi with pan-India delivery. If you need a specific thread size, guard length, or material grade, our team confirms compatibility within 24 hours.
A tip guard is the protective housing that surrounds the reversible spray tip on an airless spray gun. It threads onto the gun barrel directly ahead of the fluid section, enclosing the tip on three sides while leaving the spray fan unobstructed.
It does two things that matter on a job site.
Operator safety — Airless spray machines operate at fluid pressures between 150 and 500 bar. At that pressure, a fine stream of paint can penetrate skin without leaving an obvious entry wound. This is called a high-pressure injection injury. It is a medical emergency. The tip guard physically prevents a finger or palm from contacting the tip orifice during clearing, unclogging, or accidental trigger activation. Most industrial coating specifications and HSE guidelines require a tip guard to be fitted at all times during operation.
Tip protection — Spray tips are precision-machined carbide components. Dropping a gun tip-first, or knocking it against a hard surface, destroys the tip orifice geometry. A damaged orifice changes the fan pattern and output rate. The tip guard absorbs those impacts before they reach the tip.
Without a tip guard fitted, the gun is both a safety risk and a tip replacement problem.
The mechanism is simple and built to be fast to use under site conditions.
The guard body threads onto the gun barrel. The spray tip — typically a reversible RAC-style or similar two-finger tip — sits inside the guard and rotates freely within it. During normal spraying, the tip faces forward and the guard surrounds it, leaving the spray fan clear.
When the tip clogs — which happens regularly with thick coatings or contaminated material — the operator releases pressure, rotates the tip 180 degrees to the "clear" position, and briefly triggers the gun to blow the blockage back through the tip. The guard stays on throughout this process. The operator never needs to remove the guard to clear a clog.
The guard also carries the tip size marking on most designs, so operators can confirm the installed tip without tools.
On extension poles or curved-arm setups, reinforced tip guards provide additional rigidity to prevent the tip from deflecting under spray pressure.
Tip guards are standard equipment on any job site or plant where airless spray equipment is in use:
| Application | Why the Tip Guard Matters |
|---|---|
| Structural steel painting | High daily trigger time — tip protection reduces tip damage cost |
| Pipeline and tank coating | Thick epoxy and zinc coatings clog frequently — guard must stay on during clearing |
| Industrial plant maintenance | Multiple operators sharing guns — safety guard non-negotiable |
| Automotive and vehicle painting | Precision tip sizes — guard prevents tip damage between passes |
| Shipyard and marine coating | Corrosive environment — robust guard materials needed |
| Contract painting | HSE compliance and client site safety rules require guard to be fitted |
| Spray booth operations | Production line speed — quick-rotate clearing without removing the guard saves cycle time |
Any airless spray gun operating above 100 bar should have a tip guard fitted. Below that pressure, it is still best practice.
Prevents high-pressure injection injury
This is the primary reason tip guards exist. High-pressure injection injuries look minor externally but cause severe internal tissue damage and require immediate surgery. A fitted tip guard removes the physical possibility of accidental tip contact. No safety shortcut is worth the alternative.
Reduces tip replacement frequency
Carbide spray tips cost more than tip guards. A guard that absorbs one drop or one contact saves you more than its own cost. On a busy painting crew running multiple guns across a shift, tip damage without guards is a regular line item. With guards, it is not.
Compatible with standard reversible tips
Our tip guards work with the standard RAC-style two-position reversible tips used across the industry. Swapping tips does not require a different guard — one guard fits the full range of tip sizes within its thread standard.
Fast clog clearing without removing the guard
The 180-degree rotate-and-clear system built into reversible tip designs means operators never need to remove the guard to clear a blockage. This keeps the safety barrier in place at the exact moment — during clog clearing — when accidental injection risk is highest.
Durable construction for site conditions
Our tip guards use reinforced polymer and glass-filled nylon construction that handles drops, solvent exposure, and UV without cracking or thread failure. The thread engagement is tight enough to stay locked under vibration.
Available in bulk for large crews and contractors
We supply tip guards individually for single-gun buyers and in bulk packs for painting contractors, industrial maintenance teams, and equipment assemblers. Pricing scales with volume.
Standard Tip Guard
Fits most airless spray guns with standard barrel thread. Compatible with Graco RAC, Titan TruTip, Wagner, and equivalent tip systems. The most widely used option for general industrial and commercial painting.
Heavy-Duty Reinforced Tip Guard
Thicker body wall and reinforced thread section for high-pressure industrial applications — epoxy, polyurethane, zinc-rich primers, and plural component coatings at pressures above 250 bar. Preferred in shipyard, pipeline, and structural steel environments.
Extended Tip Guard
Longer body for use with tip extensions and pole gun setups. Provides additional rigidity when the gun head is extended away from the operator's hand, preventing deflection at the tip under spray pressure.
Fine Finish Tip Guard
Narrower profile for fine-finish spray guns used in automotive and decorative applications. Designed to not obstruct the operator's sightline during close-in detail work.
OEM and Machine Assembly Guards
Unbranded guards in bulk for equipment manufacturers assembling airless spray guns or coating machines. Available with custom thread specifications on request.
We supply tip guards as part of a complete range of airless spray gun accessories and industrial coating equipment. Our catalogue covers the full spray system — machines, guns, hoses, manifolds, filters, tips, and guards — so buyers source everything from one supplier with consistent technical support.

Export markets: 5+ countries
Product range: Tip guards, spray tips, airless spray machines, spray guns, pressure pots, blasting equipment, blasting nozzles, abrasive media, quality measurement tools
We have supplied spray accessories to industrial painting contractors, plant maintenance teams, OEM machine builders, and infrastructure coating companies across India for over a decade. Our buyers return for spares because we hold stock, confirm compatibility before dispatch, and do not substitute parts without approval.
Confirmed compatibility before dispatch — We verify thread standard, tip system, and gun model before shipping. A mismatched thread wastes time and money. We prevent that upfront.
Stock availability on common sizes — Standard tip guards for Graco-thread and Titan-thread systems are in stock. No lead time on most orders. Dispatch within 1–2 working days.
Bulk pricing for contractors and teams — Volume discounts apply from 10 units upward. Painting contractors and maintenance departments save significantly on bulk guard orders versus buying individually.
Single-supplier convenience — If you already buy tips, hoses, or machines from us, adding tip guards to the same order reduces freight cost and paperwork.
Genuine parts, not substitutes — We supply guards manufactured to the correct dimensional and material standards. Undersized or off-spec guards fail at threads or crack under site conditions. Ours do not.
Pan-India delivery — We dispatch to all major industrial locations across India from our Delhi base. Export orders to 5+ markets are handled with full documentation.
We supply tip guards to industrial painting contractors, plant maintenance teams, equipment manufacturers, and individual buyers across India — Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Surat, Ludhiana, Visakhapatnam, and beyond.
